    Throughout the Old Testament, which Jesus called “The Law and the Prophets,” several examples appear of God’s salvation that point directly at Jesus’ work in the New Testament. These are called “types.” These pictures of God’s salvation for his people are fulfilled by Jesus during his 3 ½ years of earthly ministry.
